Café curtains & Valances

Café curtains and valances are both classic and practical solutions that give the window character and the home a welcoming feel. Small curtains with a big impact, quite simply.

A café curtain covers the lower part of the window and gives privacy where you need it, while daylight streams in above. It is especially popular in kitchens and bathrooms for its charm and function, but works just as well in the hallway or in a window facing the street. A valance hangs at the top and frames the window with a soft, decorative edge – a lovely way to give the window that little extra without blocking any light.

Both are perfect for windows where wall space is limited or where furniture stands close by, such as a kitchen sink, a desk or a sofa. They take up little space and keep the windowsill clear.

With their simple, relaxed style, they suit both rustic and modern homes, and in linen they have a natural texture and a beautiful, soft drape.
